new area when the fish werent or quit biting. Danny was very patient with us girls. He made it very to fish for the newbies. We really had an awesome time!

We had eight women on our fishing trip. It was perfect. Captain Justin made sure we were in the optimal fishing spots and quickly moved when fish weren't biting. He is so knowledgeable about the area and fishing. First mate Danny was so helpful and such a hard worker. Quick to make sure our lines were baited and boat was in tip top condition. Can't say enough good things about our experience.

We had a great trip with Captain Scot and Justin, our deck hand. We had a mixed group of youngsters an experienced fishermen. Justin did a good job of catering to everyone's experience level. I have had good experiences with them before and they are number one on my list of boats to book out of Destin. We have fished a good number of other boats, both in Destin and Venice, and can strongly recommend the Phoenix.

I booked Scott to take some family members and customers on a 10 hr trip. The trip was great from beginning to end. The boat was nice, big, comfortable and CLEAN when we boarded the boat.

We stopped at a couple locations to catch bait on the way out to red snapper land. Justin, the deck hand, instructed us in every aspect of the fishing and using the various equipment, from catching the bait to later catching a bunch of big red snapper and some grouper.

The trip was a great success, we caught our limit of very nice size red snapper pretty quickly and spend the rest of our trip trying various locations for grouper and we did catch some nice grouper also. We were not fishing community fishing spots, we were off on captain Scott's spots all alone all day long.

I have taken a lot of charters over the years from many different ports. There were a lot of different boats for me to choose from when selecting our trip out of Destin. I chose Scott after doing as much research as I could. I could not have made a better choice. Scott and Justin were both fantastic. I will be booking them again next year.

We booked the Phoenix for an afternoon trip to get some red snapper. We booked after being referred by a friend and we were not disappointed. Captain Scott put us right on the fish. Justin, the first mate, was excellent working with all of us and everyone caught lots of fish despite our inexperience. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, the boat was clean, and the AC inside was a welcome respite from the heat. We limited on red snapper and picked up some king mackerel on the way back in. The highlight for the ladies was the dolphin that followed the boat out of the bay. We will absolutely recommend Captain Scott and the Phoenix to anyone coming down to the Destin area! -The Eldridge Family

We flew in from the East Coast for a fishing charter weekend. Our flight delays were miserable, but Captain Justin and first mate Danny were absolutely fantastic! They are both friendly, personable, and laid-back, which created a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere from the start. Throughout the trip, they went above and beyond to ensure everyone on board was having a good time. They were knowledgeable about the best fishing spots, and Danny's enthusiasm for fishing was contagious. With their expertise and guidance, we caught a good amount of fish. Danny really helped me out, considering I know nothing about fishing, so thanks again. My husband reeled in a bull shark, which was amazing to witness. The boat is well-maintained, super clean, and equipped with everything we needed. Captain Justins navigation skills were top-notch, and Dannys assistance with baiting hooks and offering tips made the experience even better. I highly recommend booking a trip with them

This trip did not disappoint. Capt. Justin found the fish and 1st Mate Danny kept our lines untangled (mostly) and our hooks baited. We caught our limit in Reds plus a King Mackerel and all before 10am. My 15 year old was crowned the MVP of the trip by Danny for catching the most of any of us. Our group of nine had a blast and would do it again. Don't book a private charter with any other boat.

We had a group of 6 (ages 9-70) go on a 6 hour trip. The boat is beautiful and very comfortable. We caught the limit of red snapper along with a few other species. The highlight of the trip was catching a large bull shark! Captain Justin and first mate, Danny were awesome. They put us on the fish and we all had a blast! I would highly recommend this charter. We will definitely be fishing with Phoenix again.

Justin and Danny were very friendly. They knew great places to fish. We caught our allowed 12 red snappers and a few other smaller fishes in no time and spent the rest of the time fishing for sharks and other larger fish. It was surprisingly fun. Not the boring sit-and-wait fishing I'm used to. We were practically catching stuff within seconds of pitting the line down.

We didn't have to touch the fish, though we could if we wanted to. Air conditioning in the cabin was a huge plus, too.

Went on a 6 hour charter with Justin and Danny. These guys were top notch pros! Had a blast and caught a ton! Highly recommend!

Our group of 7 adults, aged 21-80, had a great time. We caught a nice variety of fish. Captain Justin and 1st mate Danny, were great. Danny kept the hooks baited and everyone cared for. We were catching them so fast we barely had time to take pictures. We will definitely book again.

The only thing better in Destin than the charter boat Phoenix is its Captain Justin Brantley and his deck hand Quinten. What a blast! they took 8 of us out for my bachelor party and we are all ready to book our next fishing trip. The boat has the coldest air conditioning with plenty of space, a refrigerator, microwave, air fryer and a plenty of bunk beds for the hungover to nap if they need to. What a great experience!

We had a BLAST on the Charter Boat Phoenix! It's a big, roomy boat, with an air conditioned cabin. Capt. Brantley put us on the fish and helped us to evade the sharks and dolphins that tax your catch. We caught our limit of snapper, triggerfish and amberjack. The deckhands were knowledgeable and fast. They had a system that everyone fishing more efficient. This was my wife's second offshore fishing trip. She also approves. We come to Destin at the same time every year so we'll be back!

We booked a trip with the Phoenix August 11. Im a pastor. I wanted to take my guys from my tree business fishing. Also got my brothers and son to go. We had the best time. We caught wahoo amber jack triggerfish red snapper. Captain Justin was the best. He kept us on the fish. The deck hands were great as well. We have made memories for a lifetime. We are definitely looking forward to our next trip. I would definitely recommend this charter to anybody who is considering the deep-sea fishing trip.

The Phoenix is a first rate operation!! We were a group of mostly newbies and it couldn't have been any better. Captain Justin would put us right on the fish. The crew of Quinten and Rowland were awesome also. They worked there tails off to make sure our experience was top notch.

We have been out w/ Capt Justin and the Phoenix multiple times. Capt Justin always ensures our family including grandparents and 3 boys are safe, happy and catching lots of fish! He does a great job giving us options and keeping the boys poles bent! This trip we boated our limit 5 Trigger Fish, including a Granddaddy, 25 Mingo Snapper and ~30 Spanish Mackerel. The Phoenix is a great boat and looks awesome with recent touch ups Capt Justin has invested in. We have tried other similar boats at the same marina, and do NOT advise trying to save a few bucks on price. Go w/ the Phoenix and you will be glad you did.

These guys are the answer for daily charter fishing. Learned more about fishing and catching big game fish in 4hrs than I had at anytime prior. Highly recommended!!

We are in Destin for our daughters senior trip and she wanted to experience deep sea fishing. We called a few places for our group of 9, from the moment we spoke to Hadley we knew that this was where we wanted to book, she was so kind and friendly and helpful. We got to the area where we went to get on our boat, the phoenix, and captain Justin was so welcoming and so helpful. After we got out on the water and was able to start fishing Quentin helped us so much as we were all first timers, he was so patient and so helpful and so fun! We caught so many fish and had the time of our lives! We will definitely be calling them again and they absolutely made our trip one that we will all remember forever!

We went on a 10 hour trip on 7/8/22 and we absolutely WACKED em. We caught very nice Red Snapper, grouper, scamp, lesser amberjack, and several Bonita. The captain and crew are very professional and worked their tails off to make sure we were taken care of. Half of our crew had little to no experience and Quintin and Isiah gave them all the attention required. We will definitely be back on the Phoenix!

We took our family out for the afternoon, including kids from 6-14 years old, to fish for red snapper. Captain Scott is an experienced veteran and knew right where to take us to make sure we caught fish. He was also flexible and since one in our party wanted to try for some Mahi-mahi he adjusted for us to take us to the best place for it since the waters had shifted and they hadn't been biting well. First Mate Justin was great with the kids (and adults). He was friendly and also professional. Keeping us fishing and even taking the time to answer the 278 questions my 6 year old son had for him. We caught out limit and had a great time doing it. Even though it was HOT (95+) the air conditioned cabin was a great retreat to keep us cooled and hydrated. If we come back to Destin to fish we will be on the Phoenix and will have no doubts about the lasting memories and experiences we will have.

Awesome experience. We had 4 younger kids with us and Justin loved having them on board. Im sure some other crews would be annoyed by the questions and inexperienced fishers but these guys were top notch. They put us directly on the bite and we killed it all morning. More fish then we know what to do with!

We had a larger group of 12. Captain Scott, 1st mate Justin and 2nd mate Julian are top notch. We caught plenty of fish. They rotated our group so that we all were able to catch fish, and did so in a very profession and patient manner which can be difficult with a larger group. Boat, equipment etc all very good. We are still talking about the trip and would recommend and use again. Thanks guys!

Will definitely book with Scott and Justin again!!!! It was my first time deep sea fishing. Unfortunately it rained the entire time and we had to cut our trip short because of bad weather. HOWEVER, I was super nervous about going out in the weather but Scott and Justin made us feel at home AND we limited out on our red fish within the first two stops. Captain Scott even indulged my love of dolphins and let me get video of one stealing my sons fish (son was not happy about this). We had 6 people and everyone got something. What a great fishing experience! Took the 12 hour trip the week of July 4th and had the opportunity to catch two 45 -50 Amber jacks. Capt. Scott and Justin where awesome and a wealth of knowledge on where and how to catch some serious fish. Will definitely fish with them next time in Destin.

Took a 10 hr trip targeting grouper and scored big. Also caught some nice red snapper, scamp and some huge amberjack(unfortunately, the AJs were out of season and went back). Captain Scott put us on the fish and Justin managed the deck expertly. Weve been with the Phoenix six times and they always deliver.

This was our 6th trip with them in the last 4 years and we will be back with them for years to come with out a doubt. Great 6 hour trip. Certainly appeared that Captain Scott was working hard to find the fish we needed and wanted. Justin and the Captain had great communication and the overall trip was positive. Our only recommendation is to not do a 12 hour drive the day before you need to wake at 4:00am.

On time, great instruction, patient with our kids, plenty of great fish. Next time I would do the 8 hr for more fishing time. Would definitely recommend Scott and will definitely go again!

The Captain and crew of the Phoenix were top notch fisherman who took us on a terrific 10 hour trip. We had a party of ten and 7 of us were first timers.The red snapper were plentiful(16) and we also caught 7 Amberjack. The deck hand and Captain made it a point that everyone caught and reeled in their own fish. A great day was had by everyone.

Captain got us to some great fishing spots and the 1st Mate was on the spot helping getting things baited and on the boat. If we fish there again, would definitely use this boat again.

We had an awesome time! The boat was one of the nicest and cleanest weve ever fished out of. The crew is very professional and very friendly. We decided to try some trolling and they put us on the fish! It was a blast and we made family memories well cherish forever. Afterwards they took care of all the fish and bagged them up! Just WOW!! Not only is Destin great, but the Pheniox made the trip!! 4th trip in when we found Capt Scott and Justin for a day one the water! Justin is WITHOUT a doubt the best, relaxed and knowledgeable Deck Host we have ever had! And I think he admitted Capt Scott taught him all of it. LOL Great Boat, clean, and plenty of room for all. Capt Scott put us on the bait fish quick, and we were off to hit the open water. When he stopped the boat, the Amber Jack were begging for lines in the water. I think we were at limit in minutes! Then off to Bottom fish. Serious, best boat I have ever been on, and worth every penny. Side note, Capt Scott will have to bring ya back in, no matter how bad ya wanna stay out! We done the 6hr trip. Everyone was really friendly and very helpful. There was 11 of us total and 7 of them being kids, they didnt lose their patience with anybody and made sure everyone was baited and in the water! They also filleted our catch for us in no time at all. I would highly recommend this charter!!

Booked the 4 hour trip with the Phoenix. We had 11 people onboard, and 7 of them were kids 14yrs old down to 5 yes old. Justin and the crew were awesome. They showed everyone how to fish the set ups, and everyone did great! All Justin and the crew had to do was bait the hooks and take the fish off. We had a great time getting to know the crew and captain, and they were a delight to be around. The time went fast, but we caught some great fish, and had some great fish tacos that evening. Next time we are in Destin, we will definitely book another trip with the Phoenix

I highly recommend Charter Boat Phoenix with Justin and back up Captain Gary. We had an amazing trip one that my dad, my father in law and I will never forget. Justin and Captain Gary put us on fish all day long, we caught over 30 snappers and our limit of grouper. To top off the trip while trolling back to shore we caught a 12 to 13 foot blue marlin weighing and estimated 250 to 350 pounds. I highly recommend the 10 hour trip so you can go out farther and have a chance of catching higher quality snapper and grouper and maybe a fish of a lifetime.

Scott and Justin were awesome, very experienced. I was looking for a fish that would put up a good fight. Two 50lb amberjacks second one immediately after the first. Couldnt be happier, will be coming back third week of October.

This was the absolute best time. We caught tons of big fish and a 70 pound amberjack. The captain and crew were the best. The boat has nice inside space where you can get out of the sun in air conditioning with amenities so you dont bake in the sun if you dont want to. It is best to take a non group private trip with them. We went on a group trip the day before and it did not live up to expectations but this made up for it 10 fold. Cant say enough. We will always remember and have pictures of everyone including my teenage daughter having a blast reeling in fish!

Add in Scamps and Yellow edge grouper, calm waters, clear skies, just the perfect day of fishing. Highly recommend Charter Boat Phoenix on a 10 or 12 hour for the serious anglers seeking the bigger fish!

Highly recommend using The Phoenix if you going fishing. Justin, Garrett, and captain Gary were awesome!!!!! This was my 1st time going deep sea fishing and it couldnt have gone better! We caught our limit on snapper, reeled in some grouper and caught a massive Wahoo trolling back. Justin has got an amazing thing going. I have been lucky enough to fish in the Gulf for years on many different boats. Our experience over the past 4 years on the Phoenix has been excellent, we do not fish with anyone else now. We took our family out for the afternoon, including kids from 6-14 years old, to fish for red snapper. Captain Scott is an experienced veteran and knew right where to take us to make sure we caught fish. He was also flexible and since one in our party wanted to try for some Mahi-mahi he adjusted for us to take us to the best place for it since the waters had shifted and they hadn't been biting well. First Mate Justin was great with the kids (and adults). He was friendly and also professional. Keeping us fishing and even taking the time to answer the 278 questions my 6 year old son had for him. We caught out limit and had a great time doing it. Even though it was HOT (95+) the air conditioned cabin was a great retreat to keep us cooled and hydrated. If we come back to Destin to fish we will be on the Phoenix and will have no doubts about the lasting memories and experiences we will have.

Awesome experience. We had 4 younger kids with us and Justin loved having them on board. Im sure some other crews would be annoyed by the questions and inexperienced fishers but these guys were top notch. They put us directly on the bite and we killed it all morning. More fish then we know what to do with!

We had a larger group of 12. Captain Scott, 1st mate Justin and 2nd mate Julian are top notch. We caught plenty of fish. They rotated our group so that we all were able to catch fish, and did so in a very profession and patient manner which can be difficult with a larger group. Boat, equipment etc all very good. We are still talking about the trip and would recommend and use again. Thanks guys!

Will definitely book with Scott and Justin again!!!! It was my first time deep sea fishing. Unfortunately it rained the entire time and we had to cut our trip short because of bad weather. HOWEVER, I was super nervous about going out in the weather but Scott and Justin made us feel at home AND we limited out on our red fish within the first two stops. Captain Scott even indulged my love of dolphins and let me get video of one stealing my sons fish (son was not happy about this). We had 6 people and everyone got something. They even let us do some trolling closer to shore due to the weather situation. LOVED my first time going out and will be booking again!!! Thank you Scott and Justin. What a great fishing experience! Took the 12 hour trip the week of July 4th and had the opportunity to catch two 45 -50 Amber jacks. Capt. Scott and Justin where awesome and a wealth of knowledge on where and how to catch some serious fish. Will definitely fish with them next time in Destin.

Took a 10 hr trip targeting grouper and scored big. Also caught some nice red snapper, scamp and some huge amberjack(unfortunately, the AJs were out of season and went back). Captain Scott put us on the fish and Justin managed the deck expertly. Weve been with the Phoenix six times and they always deliver.

Great 6 hour trip. Certainly appeared that Captain Scott was working hard to find the fish we needed and wanted. Justin and the Captain had great communication and the overall trip was positive. Our only recommendation is to not do a 12 hour drive the day before you need to wake at 4:00am.

The Captain and crew of the Phoenix were top notch fisherman who took us on a terrific 10 hour trip. We had a party of ten and 7 of us were first timers.The red snapper were plentiful(16) and we also caught 7 Amberjack. The deck hand and Captain made it a point that everyone caught and reeled in their own fish. A great day was had by everyone.

Captain got us to some great fishing spots and the 1st Mate was on the spot helping getting things baited and on the boat. If we fish there again, would definitely use this boat again.

6 members of my family took a 6 hour fishing trip aboard the Phoenix and had a wonderful day , great Captain and first Mate , could not have been more helpful. Caught many fish. When we do it again it will definitely be on the Phoenix. Book early so you dont miss this boat.

We had an awesome time! The boat was one of the nicest and cleanest weve ever fished out of. The crew is very professional and very friendly. We decided to try some trolling and they put us on the fish! It was a blast and we made family memories well cherish forever. Afterwards they took care of all the fish and bagged them up! We highly recommend Scott for all your off shore fishing adventures!

Just WOW!! Not only is Destin great, but the Pheniox made the trip!! 4th trip in when we found Capt Scott and Justin for a day one the water! Justin is WITHOUT a doubt the best, relaxed and knowledgeable Deck Host we have ever had! And I think he admitted Capt Scott taught him all of it. LOL Great Boat, clean, and plenty of room for all. Capt Scott put us on the bait fish quick, and we were off to hit the open water. When he stopped the boat, the Amber Jack were begging for lines in the water. I think we were at limit in minutes! Then off to Bottom fish. Serious, best boat I have ever been on, and worth every penny. Side note, Capt Scott will have to bring ya back in, no matter how bad ya wanna stay out! Great job guys, we will be back, and already recommending the Pheniox!!

Went out with Scott and Justin on 7/11/20 was a blast. On good fish immediately. Caught our limit and had to throw several back. Hooked up with an 8 ft bull shark, that was crazy battle. Will definitely go again anytime we are in Destin. Took home a load of fish and great memories.

There was 11 of us total and 7 of them being kids, they didnt lose their patience with anybody and made sure everyone was baited and in the water! They also filleted our catch for us in no time at all. I would highly recommend this charter!!

Booked the 4 hour trip with the Phoenix. We had 11 people onboard, and 7 of them were kids 14yrs old down to 5 yes old. Justin and the crew were awesome. They showed everyone how to fish the set ups, and everyone did great! All Justin and the crew had to do was bait the hooks and take the fish off. We had a great time getting to know the crew and captain, and they were a delight to be around. The time went fast, but we caught some great fish, and had some great fish tacos that evening. Next time we are in Destin, we will definitely book another trip with the Phoenix

Excellent experience for the whole family. The Phoenix with Captain Scott and first mate Justin are a 1st class boat and crew in a crowded Destin charter fishing fleet. This was our 6th trip with them in the last 4 years and we will be back with them for years to come with out a doubt. If you want to fish with these guys make sure to book your trip early because they are in high demand and stay fully booked. I can not recommend them enough.

What a great fishing experience! Took the 12 hour trip the week of July 4th and had the opportunity to catch two 45 -50 Amber jacks. Capt. Scott and Justin where awesome and a wealth of knowledge on where and how to catch some serious fish. Will definitely fish with them next time in Destin.

Capt. Scott and Justin were top notch!! We went out Monday morning and had one of the best times that I can remember. Had a blast, even the bait fishing was awesome can't wait to do the 10 hour next time.

Great trip with our group of six men. Captain Scott and 1st Mate Justin did an excellent job putting us on fish. We asked to catch enough fish to eat all week with our families and the Phoenix did the job. We would have had many more fish if the dolphins would have left us alone and not stolen our catches off the line. Many thanks to the crew and staff with the Phoenix.

Three generation trip. All good, no complaints or even suggestions for improvement. Captain Scott pleasant, professional and very competent. First mate Justin very friendly and helpful, including to 12 year old grandson. Nice boat. And - oh yeah - we caught a limit of big red snapper and several nice size groupers. Deserves 5-star rating!!

On time, great instruction, patient with our kids, plenty of great fish. Next time I would do the 8 hr for more fishing time. Would definitely recommend Scott and will definitely go again!

The Captain and crew of the Phoenix were top notch fisherman who took us on a terrific 10 hour trip. We had a party of ten and 7 of us were first timers.The red snapper were plentiful(16) and we also caught 7 Amberjack. The deck hand and Captain made it a point that everyone caught and reeled in their own fish. A great day was had by everyone.

This is our 4th year with Scott and Justin. For the last four years our youngest has joined us and this year he got to reel in a snapper. We catch fish every single time and they are so accommodating. We tell all of our friends about Phoenix and the fishing experience. We can’t wait to come back next year!!

Great fishing trip! Took the 6 hour trip this morning and we had a blast. Had our two boys with us, ages 7 and 4 and the captain and 1st mate did an awesome job! The boys loved it and the cabin was great for them to take a short nap. This was our second fishing trip with them and won’t be our last!!! Can’t wait to book another trip next year which our boys have asked to do the 10 hr trip!! :)

Great experience! Captain Scott put on fish all day long. If we hit a spot they weren’t biting or we were only catching small ones, he would move us to a another spot til we were catching good fish. Justin was great! Made sure we had everything we needed and new exactly what was coming up. Would definitely recommend these two. Will definitely book another trip as soon as possible!

Booked this 6 hour trip for 6. Had so much fun pulling in one fish after another. The quality of the boat, captain and first mate were FIVE stars! Justin was quick, knowledgeable, and overall friendly! He made the experience even better.

We had a larger group of 12. Captain Scott, 1st mate Justin and 2nd mate Julian are top notch. We caught plenty of fish. They rotated our group so that we all were able to catch fish, and did so in a very profession and patient manner which can be difficult with a larger group. Boat, equipment etc all very good. We are still talking about the trip and would recommend and use again. Thanks guys!

Awesome experience. We had 4 younger kids with us and Justin loved having them on board. I’m sure some other crews would be annoyed by the questions and inexperienced fishers but these guys were top notch. They put us directly on the bite and we killed it all morning. More fish then we know what to do with!

Captain Scott, Justin and Quintin were awesome! Boat was super clean and tidy! They never stopped working the entire time we were on the boat, great teachers for the first timers we had!
